Thank you!
It was a special event for our Department! Thank you to all of you who came out to celebrate! We captured just a few wonderful moments below in our gallery.
On Friday night, we unveiled two new commemorative glass panels honoring two important founding faculty in our Department, Drs. Mary Agna and Tom Todd. These are permanent installations in the Smith Conference Room (Medical Sciences Building Room 4306).
On Saturday, we hosted the CME event and had faculty, alumni, community physicians and learners from all over attending talks from Lou Edje, Andrew Bazemore as well as our faculty. On Saturday night, we had a dinner at the Graduate Hotel, celebrating our anniversary and honoring many special people. Many thanks to Dr. Chris Lewis who served as the evening’s master of ceremonies, and added to the spirit of friendship during the evening.
Congratulations to our award winners:
Our awards committee includes Joe Kiesler, Sarah Pickle, Nancy Jamison, Andi Christopher and Christy O’Dea. We received many fantastic nominations for these awards, and it was a hard decision, which reflects the impressive group of people we have in our Department.
It was a massive effort to plan and execute this weekend, and I am indebted to our amazing planning committee: Kim Hawkins, Natalie Seaburn. Phil Diller, Barb Tobias, Dan Hargraves, Emilie Fleming. Andi Christopher, and Dolores Dodson.
The faculty speakers on Saturday were phenomenal. Thank you to: Melissa Erickson, Rynita Bohler, Sian Cotton, Pamela Sharpe, Mladen Golubic, Sarah Pickle, Evan Onusko, Mary Kate Greenwood, Lauren Wang, Corey Keeton, Jeff Schlaudecker, Kara Ciani, Lawson Wulsin, Hilja Ruegg, Joe Kiesler, and Montiel Rosenthal.
